Why this exists?
I always ask people what they read. At conferences, in interviews, over dinner. It’s the fastest way I know to understand how someone thinks. So I decided the question deserves a home of its own.
readsthis is a series of mini-interviews with professionals: engineers, founders, writers, people who build things. Each post is 4-5 questions about who they are and what they read. Fiction, non-fiction, the books they re-read, the books that found them at the right moment, the books that changed how they work.
No summaries, no “10 books every leader must read” lists. Just real people and their real shelves.
Why subscribe?
Every interview lands in your inbox as an email. Short enough to read with a coffee, and you’ll walk away with at least one book you hadn’t considered and one person worth knowing.
Want to be interviewed or want to suggest someone?
Write to post@readsthis.com. Nothing formal: I’ll send you a handful of questions, you answer the ones you like, any length. You get to talk about books you love, and yes, you can link to whatever you’re building.
I can also try to hunt down someone who’s recommendations you want to hear - just drop me the name.
Who am I?
I’m Nune. 20+ years in IT, currently helping build OpsWorker and hosting The Root Cause. Books were my world before computers were, and they never stopped being it.
